Everyone has the ability to make changes that improve their life. Counseling provides an opportunity to talk openly about the challenges you face and can give a fresh perspective on a difficult problem. I work collaboratively with clients to help them gain the insight, tools and understanding necessary to move in the direction of productive change.
I use a variety of therapeutic approaches, working with clients to find the best fit. Some areas of focus: anxiety, career/college/gap year, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, healthy/unhealthy relationships, LGBTQ+, life transitions (changing careers, retirement, new parents), mindfulness, neurodiversity, self-esteem, self-harm, stress, and teen issues.
With over 30 years of experience, I have been described as empathetic, insightful, humorous, easy to talk with, resourceful and someone who can think outside the box. I only see clients remotely as long as the location is conducive to counseling, and offers a reasonable expectation of privacy. Your pets are welcome to join, if they are not a distraction.
