I specialize in working with adults suffering from anxiety or depression or those seeking behavioral change. I also work with children ages 2-15. I provide therapy, behavioral consultation, and parent training to reach goals such as increasing frustration tolerance, improving response to directives, developing independence and self-control, strengthening social skills, assisting caregivers with the identification and execution of behavior management systems, reducing symptoms associated with ADHD, ADD, anxiety, depression, Autism Spectrum Disorders, motivating and promoting behavioral and lifestyle changes and harm reduction.
I utilize evidence-based approaches to treatment including applied behavior analysis, parent-child interaction therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I strongly encourage my clients to adopt a holistic approach to treatment that incorporates mindfulness and examining areas of life where simple and approachable strategies can lead to global improvement.
When young people struggle it can cause a great deal of pain and confusion for the entire family. Caregivers often feel overwhelmed with worry and doubt. My work supports children, parents, adults, and families by utilizing a collaborative and strengths-based approach.
