I love working with couples. I know how difficult it is to get caught up in the negative repeated dance of conflict that feels unresolvable. I work with couples to focus on the attachment or bonding issues that come up in conflicts. When we feel truly secure with one another we can hear issues without negative escalation that just angers and terrifies each other. I support with issues specific to women, to men, to LGBTQ+ clients, and issues common to everyone.
It's wonderful that you are here making the effort to have more peace and goodness in your life. Even with great challenges, you can have more calm and peace in your body, mind, and relationships. Move past places where you're stuck and connect more deeply with yourself and life, for a more authentic and fulfilling life. You have a very safe, non-judgmental space to talk with me about anything. I've been told many times that people can open up with me in ways that they haven't ever been able to before; also, that I have a calming effect, and that I've helped many people majorly transform their life. I'm happy to support you, too.

I specialize in working with folks who struggle with eating disorders, PTSD, C-PTSD, Grief/Bereavement, Adoption and/or Foster Care, Gender Dysphoria, Transgender issues, LGBTQIA+ issues, and issues related to sex/sexuality.
Mental health shouldn’t be a privilege. So much of how we feel in our minds and bodies has to do with the identities we inhabit in the world and how our environments do or do not support us. Counseling is a tool that can be helpful when dealing with the natural anxiety, depression, and grief that can arise as a result of living in a culture that refuses to see you or value you. I work with folks through an anti-oppression and somatic (body-based) lens. As a Non-Binary and Queer therapist, I am passionate about the decolonization of the therapy space. The personal is political.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 17 years experience working with military members and families, LGBTQ+, marginalized populations, culture, diversity and inclusion, women’s issues, communications and sexual disorders.
Do you feel that you can't be yourself or worry about authentically expressing who you are and what your needs are for fear of rejection? Therapy can be a safe and secure way to express yourself and explore ways to transform and increase well being. As a partner, we can identify the tools and solutions that will work best for you. I believe while life’s challenges provide us an opportunity to persevere in situations, behaviors may result as a way to meet that need or situation. I work with you, as a partner to help you identify the solutions that will meet your unique and personal needs.

I have had much experience working with Brasileros , Hispanics, Asians, Pacific Islanders, Veterans, Military, LGBT and New Yorkers.
I have been in practice for over 35 years. I weave my Psychotherapy to suit the person that I am working with. Trained in numerous modalities, I respect and work with the psycho-socio-biological and spiritual parts of the person. Developing the therapeutic relationship and cultivating trust are primary in my work with my clients. Intuition, Perceptiveness and Energy Fields guide me as well. My strong interest with Trauma Work comes from my belief that we all have been traumatized in different ways. Being in the womb, leaving the womb and the birthing process are the beginnings of trauma.
