Through a co-created therapeutic relationship, I believe therapy can offer greater presence, embodiment, confidence and connection with self and others. Many of us have experienced profound wounds and traumas, both interpersonally and related to structural violence, such as racism, homophobia, transphobia. My work is motivated and guided by a desire to explore and attend to the nature and roots of that pain and to what often makes it hard to do so. I believe deeply in the transformative power of therapy; therapy can open up a place of curiosity, flexibility, awareness, and playfulness within your internal and relational world.
My approach is psychodynamic and relational. This means I center a collaborative relationship in which clients can address past experiences, persistent patterns, and current conflict. I invite you to think in new ways and find access to a fuller range of emotions. I focus on challenges related to identity and self concept, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
I have a warm, empathic, and non-judgmental style, and have deep respect for the bravery it takes to engage in this work.
