Having been through counseling myself and being informed that I had empathetic talent and was a great listener, i decided to switch careers to one that was true to my inner calling. Since graduating with Masters in Clinical Social work, I have provided therapy to individuals from different backgrounds. I have worked with women and children in different settings in the community. I have over seven years experience in providing therapy/ counseling and have seen my clients become unstuck, achieve growth and get on with their lives.
I first gather history and issues which the client shares and wants assistance with. Then I develop a treatment plan which is collaborative with the client to work on issues they want to resolve. Often while working together we are able access emotions stored in the subconscious, which are acknowledged/ resolved allowing the client to embrace life again.
I am excited about the brain's neuroplasticity and the utilization of mindfulness to create calming pathways through mind/body/spirit connections. I will assist you in healing the wounds of the mind which manifest with emotional and somatic symptoms. It is very exciting for me be alongside my clients who find a renewed purpose and meaning in their lives.
