I am working with patients to identify patterns of interactions that result in negative feelings. I try to fit theory and practice to the specific needs of each patient. I often assess whether Bowlby's attachment theory is applicable since it provides a powerful platform to understand our behavior and develop tools to improve our social interactions.
We are all social and as a result consistently live with thoughts and sometimes doubts about our interactions with others. These thoughts have a very significant impact on our life and our social connections. We can feel lonely, sad, depressed, anxious and above all frustrated that we cannot fulfill our full potential.
