I work with individuals (& kiddos) who are navigating emotional pain, burnout, grief, or major life transitions, helping them find healing and clarity.
I understand the weight of emotional pain—whether from a breakup, burnout, negative self talk, or major life transition. If you're feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or stuck, I’m here to help you or your child honor your emotions while rediscovering your strength. I work well with children who are experiencing anxiety, difficulty expressing emotions and misconduct. Together, we'll explore what's holding you back, let go of what's no longer serving you, and use self-compassion and humor to heal. My approach is spiritual, intuitive, and deeply supportive, guiding you toward clarity, resilience, and a more joyful, balanced life.

I have found it an honor to play a role in the lives of those who have entrusted me with the truth of their internal world and the unique experiences that shape and enrich their lives. I always am amazed as I hear stories of pain and obstacles and strengths from clients. While it is intense work at times, it is very rewarding for clients to encounter the experiences of the past and present with support in the "here and now". Helping those with a history of trauma, losses/ grief and the after-effects like depression, anxiety, dissociation and addiction, and relationship issues is very meaningful to me. Healing is possible!

I work with clients experiencing marital/relationship stress, grief, traumas, anxiety/depression, low self-esteem, and other situations.
Sometimes life's challenges can cause us to become overwhelmed and unable to process solutions or determine next steps. During these times hope, encouragement, and honest care in a safe environment can provide the support you may need to resolve whatever the challenge is that you are facing. Perhaps you have reached a point where you just don’t know what to do regarding your marriage, your children, or other relationships. Or you may be struggling with an ongoing cycle of depression, anxiety, or a trauma related incident. You are ready to move on and I am here to help. Change is possible.

Some of my specialties include depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, anger, grief, suicide bereavement, divorce/relationship issues and counseling for various life transitions (career, college, midlife, move).
Do you feel hopeless and discouraged? We all go through rough patches in life, and sometimes we are left feeling stuck. Depression, anger, anxiety, helplessness and stress may follow. Having someone listen to your struggles, help you clarify your goals, break old habits and form healthier ones and learn to handle stressful situations more effectively can be extremely helpful. Therapy can help anchor you, so you can make the desired changes in your life.

I am a licensed professional counselor and board-certified registered art therapist, specially trained to work with trauma and grief.
So often we have a desire to find someone who will truly listen to us, who can understand the challenges we face without judgment. We may need help to discover and set priorities to move forward and motivate us to live life more courageously. If you feel stuck or stagnant, experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger, trauma, or grief, I would consider it an honor to partner with you in the process of healing, growth, and redirection. When we find the courage to speak out loud or express ourselves through creative means, we gain fresh insight that can lead to positive change and a healthier, more authentic way of life.

Grief Therapists

How long does therapy take for grief?

There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?

Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?

Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?

Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
