You may not feel like yourself. You may feel sabotaged by unconscious behaviors. You may feel anxious, lost, and without purpose. These experiences can be emotionally painful sparking addictive behaviors, dysfunction in relationships, and limit self-development. Our work together will address the origin of embedded patterns that keep you stuck.

I have worked extensively for the past ten years with individuals who have various mental health diagnosis. I enjoy working with families/couples in finding a resolve to the struggles we face daily as well as with children who are living with unresolved past traumas. I love working with children utilizing play therapy techniques and watch them begin their healing process. I offer EMDR for treating past traumas, anxiety and depression both with children and adults.

My own grief and therapy journey, as well as eight years of allied work with trafficking survivors through non-profit service led me here.
You want to find a counselor that you feel you can be your true self with. A breath of relief, someone you can kick off your shoes and laugh and cry with. You want a counselor that's real and authentic. I believe that, too, & that you deserve to thrive, not just survive. Your brain can heal, just like how muscles recover after a workout. When collaborating with clients on their therapy goals, I see through lenses of trauma, relational connections to others, and how the brain and body work together in order to consider all factors and systems that make up a person and their experience.

Are you ready for a change? You may be functioning in your life, yet something in you is asking for your attention. Or maybe a recent diagnosis, loss, life transition, or stress may have you questioning how you’ve been living until now. Perhaps you are ready to face something that you’ve resisted in the past out of habit, fear, or a sense of being existentially stuck. Or maybe you know your story, and have a desire to deepen your understanding of yourself but don’t know how to get there.

Hello, My name is Garrett Price. I do not think of people as sick or broken; I refuse to see others through the lens of disease. You are not your diagnosis, you are not your loss, you are not your thoughts, your feelings, or your actions. You are that which is behind your eyes, a wonderful mystery that is having this experience. This experience, or what we sometimes call life, can be hard, and in difficult times it's helpful to have a path or direction. This is the idea of Trailhead; a place to find a welcoming other, to discover new skills, heal the mind, strengthen the soul, and find a way forward.

We all say "therapy is Hard!" I don't want to do that! - but then, yeah, being depressed is hard, being abused was hard, having anxiety is hard. I get it, life is really tough sometimes. My goal is to help you see your strength and appreciate the process. I will ask you to do some hard things- but struggle builds strength. Most of it will be easy, most of it will be down-right enjoyable! (Heaven Forbid!) So a little bit about what I'm good at. I'm great at past trauma, and grief. I'm good at anxiety, depression, and couples. I'm quirky and weird. I'm analytical and caring. I'm curious and humble. I'm optimistic.

As we go through life, stressors and changes often cause us to disconnect from ourselves and our inner emotions, needs, dreams, and values. Whether those stressors involve relationship challenges, grief, life transitions or other obstacles, it is important to return to focusing on what is in our control and begin the process of reconnecting with oneself and exploring what our reactions may be trying to tell us. Therapy can be a great space to begin that process!

I specialize in working with trauma, grief and loss, and attachment issues. I have experience working with adults, teens, and children who’ve experienced domestic and sexual violence, those struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and relationship issues, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and folks who’ve struggled with addiction. Many of my clients work toward acknowledging and grieving the past so moving forward feels possible. I know counseling can be scary. This is why we move slowly and intentionally, making sure counseling doesn't just feel hard. There are moments of joy and celebration in healing too.

Grief Therapists
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.
When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.
Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.
What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
