I am a Licensed clinical professional counselor and certified alcohol and drug counselor who received my degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago. I have experience working within outpatient clinics, hospitals and group practice settings, treating a wide variety and severity of mental issues and concerns. I am primarily a person centered therapist, which means there is an accepting and open dynamic that clients often feel during therapy.
I utilize an eclectic approach as well, and will explore the nature of one's thoughts and emotions, how people create and understand meaning, how to help someone live in accordance with their values, and how to bring the practice of increasing awareness and insight into a clients life.
I have experience treating depression, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, substance use, career and lifestyle adjustment, and helping clients clarify and reach their goals. My hope in working with someone, is that they will grow in strength and insight to lead a fulfilling life with more psychological freedom.
