Anyone who wishes to spend an hour per week in laughter, in thinking and in supportive challenge would benefit from working with me. I wish to offer dynamic engagement based on a strong bond between therapist and patient - as this is the number one prognosticator of change in treatment! We can figure out the rest as we go along. It is important to come as you are - no judgement - because we will operate based on your current level of motivation and collaborate to develop the discipline to make change.
My specific areas of specialty are many, and can be found below, as can my modes of therapy and primary clinical approaches. I have diverse clinical experiences within the community mental health, primary medical care and private practice models that span multiple age groups, diagnoses and levels of care.
Further, I am an adjunct faculty member in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program in the School of Counseling at The University of Akron. As such, my clinical shoulders are broad - let's get to work!
