As a DBT therapist at Greater Texas DBT, I specialize in working with clients whose emotional experiencing interferes with achieving and/or maintaining goals. I celebrate the unique qualities of emotionally sensitive individuals and am passionate about collaborating with clients to "build lives worth living" by capitalizing on strengths while systematically addressing areas in which living with emotional intensity or detachment has become problematic. I offer services to clients of all ages with a focus on early identification and intervention with adolescents and young adults, and in providing support to their loved ones.
I provide individual therapy and group skills training for clients struggling with regulating emotions/thoughts/behaviors, and with difficulties building and maintaining healthy relationships and achieving goals. I also address any relevant developmental or trauma history utilizing Polyvagal Theory-informed somatic interventions and other trauma modalities.
Come learn how to navigate your thoughts and emotions as one of many important information sources and feedback tools in your life rather than the driving dictators of your life. Discover a newfound sense of peace while identifying values, prioritizing goals, navigating relationships, increasing authentic self-expression, and reducing shame and insecurity.

Within the structure of DBT, I often use other modalities including trauma-informed interventions (e.g. Polyvagal Theory-informed somatic exercises), mindfulness (e.g. MBCT), and exploration of meaning & purpose (e.g. existentialism). Additionally, as a scientist-practitioner, my work is informed by our current understanding of behavioral genetics, commonly referred to as Orchid-Dandelion Theory.
