It is a great privilege to be entrusted with the sacred work of helping individuals navigate life's issues. The therapeutic relationship is unlike any relationship one will experience anywhere because, in the therapy room, they are unconditionally valued and empathically listened to with their best interests in mind, free from hidden agendas, discrimination, or personal gain. In this safe environment, clients are encouraged to develop compassionate curiosity toward the pieces of their life story, which grants insight into their present functioning and is an essential part of their growth journey.
I use an integrated and holistic approach that does not pathologize people. I work collaboratively with my clients to empower them to lean into their strengths, develop new skills, and learn how to create a more adaptive narrative about who they are. I use evidenced-based modalities that are personalized for each client.
I honor the huge step it takes to initiate seeking counseling. It can feel intimidating and scary. That is why I strive to create a safe environment and pay attention to the cues that reveal discomfort levels to maintain that safety. We set clearly stated goals together and continuously revisit them to gauge progress or make adjustments for a better fit.

I work with clients who may be struggling with life transitions, relational struggles, family issues, trauma, anxiety, and depression. This work is a collaborative effort and clear goals are created with this question in mind: what will be different about you when you are done with therapy? Together, we work through this process.

I often use The Townsend Model to inform the treatment plan. We will explore the elements of your character structure influencing current functioning and work toward strengthening them. During sessions, we may use somatic practices to calm the nervous system and optimize the counseling experience. I use Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) with couples to help them reattach and reconnect.
