Hello. :) I'm a therapist at Grit Therapy that works with individuals of all ages and backgrounds experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, relationship issues, and stress. I specialize in working with the LGBTQ+ community and am experienced in supporting folks who are transgender in undergoing gender-affirming medical care. I truly believe healing is best encouraged within a supportive and genuine relationship, and this is my number one priority in working with my clients. My approach to therapy is person-centered and based on the unique needs of the individual I am working with.
During therapy sessions, I use various techniques from somatic therapy and synergetic play therapy in order to support folks in holistic healing of the mind and body. I also incorporate dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-informed cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), attachment theory, and internal family systems (IFS).
I was born and raised in a small Midwestern town that lacked essential mental health resources.
