My name is Grace, and I am a white queer woman who works with teens and adults to support them in learning about themselves and healing from past trauma. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA folks and anyone exploring their identity; as well as people of color, disabled/chronically ill folks, and others who face intersecting forms of oppression. My practice is rooted in social justice and anti-racism, and a belief that systemic oppression directly affects our mental health. In our work together, we’ll explore the ways in which systems of power and societal expectations interfere with our right to authenticity and wholeness.
I approach therapy from a place of warmth and compassion, and a belief that we’re all doing our best with what we have. I pull from narrative therapy, feminist therapy, parts work, and attachment theory. The principles of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, collective liberation, and body sovereignty are my guideposts in this work.
Therapy is not only something that can better your life in the moment — it’s a gift you’re giving your future self. And though you will continue to change through different stages of your life, your future self will thank you for taking care of yourself every step of the way. I offer a free consultation to see if we’re a good fit. I hope you’ll reach out!
