My passion is in working with children and their parents and caregivers. Honoring each and every child and the unique challenge and need they bring into the therapeutic playroom is my honor and a responsibility I hold sacred. Any child struggling to express their feelings and emotions and make sense of a challenging experience or period during their childhood and adolescence is welcomed. A parent or caregiver who hopes their child will learn and understand important skills such as emotional regulation, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication is supported and empowered.
Child-Centered Play Therapy is a wonderful and almost magical tool that helps a child learn to process their feelings, emotions, and experiences. Through play and alongside a safe, nurturing, and attuned therapist, a child who once struggled to express and process their emotions and experiences can communicate through the natural language of play.
When children feel truly and genuinely understood, it takes the intensity out of the emotions they are fighting and helps them better understand themselves and their environment and those partners in their therapeutic journey feel empowered.
