Hola, I hope this personal statement finds you well. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have a Masters in School Counseling and have experience in treating adults and children in various settings. I believe that the client is the expert of their lives and a therapist's main function is to be a mirror and help the client manage difficult emotions. My approach with clients is Let's talk about it until YOU feel you are done talking about it. In the time I have spent on my professional journey, I have seen that I do particularly well in helping clients struggling through grief & adversity, including trauma.
Although I do well in treating grief and trauma, I believe I am well equipped to help in the day-to-day struggles that all people face. I typically work with clients with more typical needs by techniques that work for them. Treatment is earnestly thought out for each of my clients. I do not do a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.
Grief, trauma, stress, anxiety, and depression affect everyone differently. Supporting my clients in distress demands patience and empathy, qualities I am grateful to possess.
