Sometimes life is so painful that even remembering reasons to stay alive can be very difficult. Life situations, such as grief or traumatic events, can cause day to day functioning to feel insurmountable. Finding coping skills and solutions happens when you have the freedom to talk about anxiety, grief, depression, trauma and suicide with the help of a skilled clinician who is comfortable working with it all -- and who understands, when working with youth, the importance of coaching parents so that they feel prepared to help their child through an emotionally difficult time.
I have experience and education in a variety of techniques to provide my patients with the best care for their individual needs. With the right support and guidance, insights can be gained from the emotional healing of painful life experiences so that a person can reconnect to their inner wisdom and sense of purpose in life.
I and my colleagues at the Institute for Hope and Human Flourishing understand that living with trauma, depression or anxiety, or having thoughts of suicide, means that a person is in a lot of pain and it's hard to see through the pain to find solutions that might help. I can help you feel well enough to find the solutions that work for you.
