I have 25 years experience working with adolescents and children in Hawaii. I work with a variety of issues including depression, cutting, suicidal thoughts, substance abuse, anxiety, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder and other significant behavior problems. I am especially adept at trust building and motivating teens who are resistant. I frequently use problem-focused cognitive-behavioral treatment, with an emphasis on helping teens communicate with their parents
I also work with adults with issues surrounding depression and anxiety. I have previous military experience and have training in trauma-focused therapy. Early evening and Saturday appointments are available.
