Aloha, my name is G. Keoki Scanlan Moises. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor. I have over 22 years of experience in the mental health field, specifically in the leeward coast of Hawaii. My primary focus is working with adults with mental illness, substance use. dual diagnosis and children/adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges. In addition, I work with couples/families on relationship issues and family discord.
I use a client centered and strength-based approach to focus on the positive aspects of life to navigate through life's challenges and hurdles. I am culturally sensitive, mindful and solution focused. My communication style is warm, genuine and empathetic. I promote a safe and caring environment to develop trust and understanding.
I believe all individuals are entitled to self-determination. With my assistance, we shall explore one's options and develop adequate problem-solving skills to make healthy appropriate decisions.
