I am passionate about providing mental health support to Black, Brown, and LGBTQIA+ communities, regardless of immigration status. My goal is to contribute to the healing process of individuals holding marginalized identities. I am not in search of 'ideal clients', just individuals looking to integrate practical skills, effect change, improve quality of life, and perhaps heal wounds inherited through generational trauma.
Over the last decade, I have had the pleasure of working with clients of all ages struggling to manage life stressors and mental health concerns like depression, anxiety, anger, relationships, grief/loss & trauma. I have provided individual/group therapy to clients within forensic settings, psychiatric hospitals, school/university, & residential facilities.
I believe that all clients have a capacity for change, which occurs gradually and at their individual pace. Thus, my approach to treatment involves a collaborative relationship that facilitates adequate care, while promoting autonomy and maintaining privacy and dignity.
