I offer psychodynamic psychotherapy to individuals committed to exploring their maladaptive behaviors and concerning emotional experiences. Psychodynamic therapy emphasizes the relationship between the therapist and client as the core of the healing process. Working in therapy with me is going beyond the symptoms and moving deeper to what fuels the anxiety, depression, anger, etc. We hope to arrive at a goal of better understanding you as a person and what fuels your thoughts, feelings, desires and hopes. I work with the client to develop a goal, while always keeping in mind the goal of long-term emotional growth and stability.
I have experience working with individuals ranging the lifespan while specializing in working with children and adolescents (3-25). While my practice is based in Nome, I have the unique experience of providing play therapy via telehealth. I work with families as well as help parents better understand their children. I also teach and provide consultation.
I provide a safe, consistent, and reliable space to explore pieces of yourself you may not even be familiar with yet. I believe mental health services should be a normalized experience for all people.
