Welcome! I'm so glad that you found your way here. I know first hand how scary and intimidating it can be to reach out for help from a therapist, and I want to congratulate you on your courage, and your willingness to take the first steps toward healing, growth and positive change. My name is Kerry Bursley and I have been a therapist for seven years. Like you, I've been in the client's chair, hoping that a therapist could help me feel better. As a therapist who has also been a therapy client, I know how important it is to feel seen, heard and most of all, safe. I look forward to providing that safe, warm, comfortable space.
I specialize in trauma, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, Grief, and other life transitions. I love working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures. I am welcoming and affirming to the LGBTQ+ and Polyam communities. As a Pagan, I enjoy working with Earth-Centered folks, but am welcoming to other spiritual backgrounds or no background as well.
I look forward to helping you navigate the path ahead, and emerging from your experiences with a sense of hope and the promise of a new beginning. I am EMDR trained, and also incorporate techniques from Brief Solution Focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Narrative therapy as well.
