My ideal client is someone who wants to work on building a life worth living and freeing themselves from the heaviness of mental illness. I love to work with those that are working through trauma and those that may be coping in ineffective ways like self-harm or suicidal ideation. I enjoy working with women's issues, including histories of abuse (sexual, emotional, physical, and psychological).
I have worked many years in dialectical behavioral therapy whose concepts focus on building a life worth living, whether that be distress tolerance in managing ineffective behaviors or trauma symptoms or simply managing daily emotions and relationships.
