I create a nonjudgmental, safe space for my patients to explore their challenges. I approach my work with you through a trauma-focused lens and acknowledge how emotion is central to human experience. I draw from relational and psychodynamic approaches, focusing on how our past pains can influence our present patterns and cycles. Through deep listening, I am able to guide you through your own journey of self-awareness and reflection. I completed my education in Mental Health Counseling at the University at Albany, where I also served as a peer assistant and training instructor for a mental health and crisis hotline.
I have experience with various psychological concerns, specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, and relationship challenges. Through my time at Albany Med’s psychiatric residency training program, I worked with individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds and identities.
The vulnerability that is inherent in therapy can be challenging, especially the more that one reveals. I acknowledge the impact of shame and hiding and I hope to create a space where you feel comfortable and understood. I encourage you to talk about things that perhaps in your world with friends and family, may be difficult to discuss.
