Hello! I am a licensed clinical psychologist providing individual, group, and family therapy as well as evaluations, consultations, and school observations for children, adolescents, and adults. I use a cognitive-behavioral approach meaning I draw on interventions with proven success based on research, and actively collaborate with clients to set goals, build skills, and address issues directly. My areas of expertise include child and adolescent treatment, treatment of young adults, anxiety, depression, trauma, and parenting support including addressing disruptive behaviors.

Dr. Carson earned her PhD at St. John's University and completed her clinical internship and postdoctoral training at Northwell (formerly North Shore-Long Island Jewish Medical Center).
Dr. Carson is also the Former Clinical Director of the Crisis Clinic in Bellevue Hospital's Children's Psychiatric Emergency Program (CCPEP) and is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at the NYU School of Medicine

Groups
CBT for Anxiety in Children (ages 8-12)
Cognitive Behavioral Group for Anxiety for Children ages 8-12. This group will provide education on anxiety, related symptoms, and associated behaviors, followed by skill building and exposure exercises to directly address and overcome anxiety. Children appropriate for this group include those with social anxiety, separation difficulty, specific phobias, and OCD. The group format has been extremely successful for past clients in providing support, encouragement, and building self-esteem while addressing symptoms.
