In my experience with clients over the years, I’ve found that relationships are at the core of mental health, and the therapeutic relationship is fundamental in the therapy process. My primary focus as your counselor is to be an authentic safe place for you to be your authentic vulnerable self. Sometimes we just need support “talking it out” or learning how to cope with stressors, and sometimes there is a deeper pain underneath that we need to heal. Regardless of how you got here, as humans, the journey of life compels us to grow and evolve. I am here to guide and support you on this journey, through the good times and the bad.
I am an EMDR Trained Clinician and I specialize in treating trauma. Aside from my specialization, I have clinical experience helping my clients with a variety of issues, ranging from acute mental distress to general life stressors. It is important to me to meet the unique needs of each client, so I use various approaches when working with my clients.
From personal experience, I know this can be terrifying, starting therapy takes courage, but courage is never without fear. As your counselor, I hope to make it less scary for you, but sometimes we have to surrender to the fear and do it anyway. I promise you have the courage inside of you. We all do!
