I am a licensed clinical/sport psychologist. I work primarily from a cognitive-behavioral perspective, helping individuals gain insight into what thoughts and behaviors are keeping them stuck and empowering them to break unhelpful patterns. I also utilize mindfulness and values-based practices to help individuals build compassion and acceptance. In my practice I value developing strong relationships with clients by creating a safe, transparent, genuine (and even humorous) environment. With humility and curiosity, I consistently seek to understand how one's culture, identity and experiences shape one's life.
I identify as a generalist clinician who works with a range of mental health concerns (e.g. general stress, life transitions, depression, anxiety, OCD). I am passionate about addressing health behaviors such as sleep (trained in CBT-I) and exercise. As a sport psychologist, my main specialty is in athlete mental health & sport performance.
I love the work that I do and find it an honor to be with people during difficult times in their lives. Coming to therapy is brave! FYI I am licensed in NJ and NY.
