I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, I studied at Cameron University and received a master's in behavioral science in psychology, and a BA in communications from Georgia Southern University. I have been counseling clients since 2011. Prior to becoming a therapist I was an active duty soldier in the United States Army. The army provided exposure to many cultures and adversity. I departed from the army and became involved in military programs while supporting my active duty husband in his service. I was an advocate for the unit's family readiness group which led me to pursue a career in psychology.

I enjoy the therapeutic process and helping people to grow, change, develop, and become. I enjoy helping people develop a plan of self care in a safe and nonjudgmental setting. With today's challenges to find time for self care I have recently added two new services to include: Tele-therapy as an option for clients who cannot come into the office for traditional services, and emotional support animal evaluation for those who need documentation of their need for their emotional support pet.

I have experience working with clients with trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar- disorder, borderline personality disorder, PTSD, domestic violence, sexual abuse. I enjoy working with individuals, families, couples and groups of all ages, identities and cultural backgrounds. My primary goals with clients are to build resiliency, promote independency and self advocacy, build confidence in decision-making, address traumas, establish healthy boundaries, and promote self-compassion/care.

I want to inspire and encourage clients by using a non-judgemental approach, while listening carefully with patience and concern, so that I may hear what the client's soul is saying. While applying the proper treatment therapeutically, together we can find that balanced and healthy place.

I have been most fortunate to have had the opportunity to provide mental health and substance abuse treatment for many years in a variety of settings. I am passionate and dedicated to helping individuals and families identify and achieve their personal goals to live a happier and healthier life. Our practice has partnered with other trusted medical professionals in our community so that if a referral for additional services is necessary, we know that they will receive quality care.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over thirty years of experience in the field of social work which covers: mental health, crisis intervention, home health, hospice, school social work and medical social work. I am passionate about working with children/adults to overcome barriers that prevent them from being the best that they can be.
