West Georgia Counseling & Assessment Services has been servicing families through the DFCS since 2000. As of 2021, our practice also services individuals and families with private insurance, as a self pay client, individual, marital & family therapy sessions. We proudly serve our military veterans and their families as well as all members of our community. Our agency is composed of male and female, highly credentialed, diverse, and experienced staff of LPC's, APC's, Master level counselors, parent aids, and other staff.

I have worked extensively with people suffering from trauma, especially domestic violence, and sexual trauma. I love working on Men's issues. During my practice, I found that Toxic Masculinity is maybe the biggest contributor to psychological issues in men. So, I started the only group for Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse in Northern Georgia.

I have been working with people in Atlanta as a licensed clinical psychologist for36years. They may be experiencing anxiety or depression or frustration or anger or even hopelessness. These feelings may be related to issues such as their family of origin, their current relationship, their job, their health, their sexuality or other areas of life. While I have on occasion worked with children and adolescents, I work primarily with adults in individual, couples and group psychotherapy. I find it fulfilling to work with people to make positive changes in their lives.
