I have served clients in psychiatric care for over 16 years, facilitated psychosexual Trauma Systems Therapy for over 9 years, led couples and family therapy for over 8 years, and have been actively working with HIV prevention and sexual health education of other sexually transmitted infections and diseases for over 8 years. I am a Doctor of Health Education and Promotion and I am exceedingly committed to sexual health, behavioral health, and mental health.

It is my belief that quality of life is promoted by breaking through barriers that prevent wholistic growth of the the individual and/or family unit. That is why I provide an ease about coming to therapy and attempt to make my clients feel comfortable beginning this process. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults helping them get through difficult transitions in their lives. I do a lot of work challenging people to explore their aggression, self-harming behaviors, drugs and alcohol use, suicidal ideations, depression and anxiety. Mental illness can be isolating and leave you with doubts about who you are. I have seen this show up in many ways throughout my work with individuals struggling with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, disordered eating and anxiety related disorders. Individuals with OCD might find themselves scared and confused by their thoughts. Most struggle with intrusive images and thoughts that are not aligned with their values and who they know themselves to be. I have worked with individuals for whom their depressive symptoms made it difficult to show up for themselves and their loved ones and complete daily tasks/activities.
