As a former piano teacher and lifelong musician, I believe in the discipline of applying oneself, and that strategic relationships and creativity can be transformative. I am Love Positive Counseling's resident child and adolescent (9-18yo) specialist. I am experienced at working with LGBTQ+ children and teenagers that need help communicating more effectively with family members and peers to foster empathy and understanding. I also work with adults that are exploring their gender and/or sexuality, non-monogamy, and kink.

I am a licensed pediatric psychologist who specializes in pediatric and health psychology. I provide assessment and therapy for children, adolescents, and families coping with acute and chronic medical conditions, injuries, and related emotional, and behavioral disorders. I take a skills-based approach to help individuals and families learn strategies to improve functioning and well-being. I work to optimize physical, behavioral, emotional, and social health to make living with medical conditions easier and treat co-occurring stress, anxiety, mood, and behavioral sequelae.

I have been in practice for over 25 years and after all these years I remain as passionate about my chosen profession as I did when I first began; perhaps even more so. Since 1991, I have worked with many individuals helping them to overcome fears, resolve interpersonal conflicts, understand themselves, identify and avoid negative life patterns and overall personal growth. I have always loved to read a good story, I think stories can reflect wholeness in their beginnings, middles, and ends. It's all too often that we find ourselves in the middle of the story, feeling disconnected from ourselves and unsure if our story will ever have an ending that feels good and whole. I believe that counseling offers a space to "speak the unspeakable" parts of our stories and invite healing into the darkest places. As we create a safe and trusting relationship, I hope to come alongside you and look inward together with compassion and curiosity.

I enjoy working with adolescents and families as well as couples who desire to find help and resolution. My other focus is helping couples who want to understand and love their partner better to enhance their marriage; or couples, who are in conflictual relationships that are struggling with disconnection and isolation. My passion is to come alongside young men in the process of self-discovery to help grow in awareness of themselves by helping to bring resolution to problems such as pornography, anger, anxiety, depression, isolation, emotional dysregulation, loss and grief, and spiritual confusion.
