Healing happens in the safety and security of relationship, so my goal is to provide a safe, trusting, and collaborative environment for my clients. I provide therapy for clients facing circumstances such as stress, anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem/confidence challenges, perfectionism, identity exploration and formation, life transitions, trauma, emotional and mental health navigating learning differences, and interpersonal relationship challenges.

Transitions can be scary and unknown—being on your own for the first time, starting college, being an empty nester struggling to find purpose, being retired or going through a divorce and feeling a loss of identity, hurting from past trauma or struggling with your spiritual journey. Often, feeling lost can lead to depression, anxiety, a sense of not belonging and even mal-adaptive behaviors such as substance abuse or self-harm. We at Baobab Counseling Center are passionate about working with individuals to tap into their inner strength, desires and potential while identifying and overcoming those barriers that arise.

Erica brings a vibrant and inquisitive spirit to therapy sessions. She combines Person-Centered, Gestalt modalities, and Internal Family Systems to help remove shame and to encourage you to envision the best version of yourself. With experience in various settings like Residential, PHP/IOP, and outpatient, she focuses on holistic trauma-informed care. Erica believes that there is no such thing as any ‘bad part’, only misunderstood elements of self that need to be brought closer to the heart.

I have been a licensed therapist for over 10 years working with a wide range of client diagnosis including anxiety, depression, OCD, Bipolar, adjustment disorders, addictions and more. I am a certified sex therapist with training in sexual identity disorder, gender identity disorder, sexual medical issues, sex addiction and more. I have worked with the LBGTQ+ community for over 10 years. I especially enjoy working with OCD, anxiety, Bipolar and LBGTQ+ related issues with positive outcomes in each of these areas. My ideal clients are millennial individuals who find themselves struggling to get what they need out of relationships with others. My ideal clients are also individuals/couples struggling with issues surrounding sexuality. Kendall is passionate about joining men and women on their journey towards healing and freedom. He believes that one's path towards healing and freedom cannot be fully realized outside of one's dependence on a source more powerful than themselves. Kendall has extensive experience working within the secular and faith-based environment with people who are searching for the means to rise above sexual addiction, anger, depression, trauma, and various other challenges encountered in life. Kendall works with individuals, families, and groups who long to live a more full life, free of the shackles that have bound them.

Taking the first step can be hard. Anxiety, depression, addiction, and trauma are just a few of things that us hold back from experiencing a fulfilled and purposeful life. I believe counseling is the most effective way to gain insight into how our past is directing our present and future choices.
