My clients express that the feeling of being heard & understood for the 1st time in their life provides a safe, nonjudgemental, place. Relationship issues, anxiety, addictions, stress, trauma, & life transitions, are areas I can help with. A person brings who they are into every relationship and problems limit your capacity to experience, and be authentic in this world. Discover what's really behind the scenes. Uncover the parts of yourself that have been hidden, holding your true potential. My focus is to help you to increase your capacity to be able to experience life more fully, with less stress and true joy.

In my work, I focus on helping clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, spiritual/existential issues, trauma, self-esteem, ADHD, and emotion regulation.
Hi there! With over four years of experience working with individuals and families in a variety of settings including hospital and community mental health, I believe every person brings a unique point of view to the counseling room, that each person is inherently valuable and has the capacity for growth, joy, and true fulfillment. I believe God is writing a story for every individual, redeeming the broken and hurts in our pasts. My first priority is cultivating a safe, warm, and open space for clients to discover themselves, grow, and tackle any barriers that they’ve encountered on their journey.

I strive to help build a supportive and authentic relationship with my clients.
Counseling is a healthy commitment and instills courage. It is crucial to find the right fit for yourself, one who can best relate to your issues. Working for Peachford, Ridgeview, and Emory Hospitals, has allowed me to focus on trauma, persons on the spectrum, resistant depression or anxiety, ADHD, and grief. My goal is to serve as an advocate for those desiring healing, proper medical care and learning to use their own voice. Specializing in teens, college students, and adults who suffer from intrusive thoughts, self-harming behaviors, suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, divorce, parental alienation, and narcissist abuse.

I work with many common and uncommon issues... testing and treating adults. children and teens with approaches that are specially tailored for them. I've spent years assessing and treating ADHD, depression, anxiety and other problems and have a deep understanding of a variety of approaches to treat them, including medication, nutritional/herbal, and neurofeedback. I help children, teens and adults get through depression, anxiety, relationship and school/work problems, and to move from getting out of a problem to enhancing and finding meaning and engagement in life. Your life should, ultimately, be the antidepressant!

“You’re a person, not a diagnosis.” That phrase appears on my website and my business cards because it goes to the heart of my philosophy about therapy. While diagnoses may be helpful for medical treatments, you’re a person with real hopes, dreams, fears, and problems. Listening with respect is the beginning of our relationship, and I engage in “active listening” – asking questions for clarification, and making connections to a person’s past. Together, we’ll identify the issues facing you. Then, we’ll map out a plan to deal with those issues. In this way, I often serve as a life coach in addition to being a therapist.

I work with adults and adolescents with issues related to anxiety, depression, self esteem and transitioning out of unhealthy relationships. Empowering women to build assertive communications skills and to understand how family of origin and past relationships impact current relationship patterns is a necessary component to therapy. I work with couples to develop strategies to add life and love to their relationships and co parenting strategies for parents living apart.

ART and BSP are focused eye movement tools which can produce powerful, rapid change that’s proven to be effective with relationship issues, anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD.
Life is complex, with demands on you, your relationships, and your time causing stressors that make your personal and work life seem overwhelming. Headaches. Lack of sleep. No energy to spend time with loved ones. Maybe you’re not showing your best self to your spouse and are faced with the dreaded “We need to talk” conversation. You know that anxiety, depression, or past trauma is affecting your well-being, marriage, and meaningful relationships. It makes you feel as if you’ll never meet your own or others’ expectations or goals.

I have experience working with adults who are ready to create a more loving and authentic relationship with themselves and others.
Anxiety and depression can cloud our judgment, closing us off from ourselves and others. Perhaps you have achieved your goals, yet still struggle with feeling “not good enough.” You may feel paralyzed, unable to move forward, continually engaged in self-destructive patterns of thoughts and behavior. What would it be like to quiet those anxious thoughts, experience lasting and genuine peace, and make positive change? Together we can increase your self-understanding, build resiliency, find meaning, navigate challenges, and facilitate joy and growth. My approach is genuine, down-to-earth, warm, insightful, playful, and compassionate.

My focus is helping adolescents, young adults, and adult women struggling with self-esteem, relationship issues, career transitions, trauma, anxiety, life transitions, family issues, self-harm, depression, and body image issues.
Being human is hard - It’s messy and filled with its unique challenges and, because of that, you deserve a space to be just that… human. A space for you to show up exactly as you are confused, optimistic, heartbroken, determined, anxious, depressed. I believe we require less fixing and more honoring of exactly where we are in the moment to be a catalyst for growth and self-discovery.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
