TESTING AND ASSESSMENT SPECIALIST: I am a licensed psychologist with a specialization in neuropsychology. I provide psycho-educational and neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Most of my clients are children and adolescents who are experiencing learning and/or attention problems in school. My expertise is in the diagnosis and treatment of learning disorders and ADHD. I also diagnose cognitive problems associated with neurological and other medical disorders.

One of the greatest offerings of therapy is the opportunity for change. I work both with clients who are wanting change and those who have been thrust into change without asking for it. Clients facing complex trauma & PTSD, grief, life transitions, and other big hurdles can find balance and restoration in their work with me. I help clients to reconstruct their relationships with trauma, loss, anxiety, and with the other people in their lives.

I’m most passionate about healthy relationships and empowering you to be your authentic self. I enjoy working with a diverse population, including adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My areas of focus include anxiety and worry, grief and loss, pregnancy, postpartum, and mom’s mental health, life transitions including divorce or parenting, complex trauma and PTSD, spiritual issues, and family and relationship issues, including couples counseling.

I work with many common and uncommon issues... testing and treating adults. children and teens with approaches that are specially tailored for them. I've spent years assessing and treating ADHD, depression, anxiety and other problems and have a deep understanding of a variety of approaches to treat them, including medication, nutritional/herbal, and neurofeedback. I help children, teens and adults get through depression, anxiety, relationship and school/work problems, and to move from getting out of a problem to enhancing and finding meaning and engagement in life. Your life should, ultimately, be the antidepressant!

While adoption is one of my core specialties, the issues of connection, attachment, emotional regulation, and relational healing are common to everyone, and pervasive in our mood and anxiety levels. I am graduate of West Georgia with a Bachelors of Psychology and received my Master of Professional Counseling from Argosy University. I have been in private practice since 2009 and have extensive counseling experience with individuals and families, specializing in depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and substance abuse. In my work with clients, I provide a non-judgmental, protected space that allows you to process your thoughts and emotions.

Counseling is great to help kids better organize their thoughts and feelings in a productive way for the child and family. ​My experience includes years of service with a highly recognized infant mental health psychiatric clinic as well as counseling children and families with reunification, stabilization, and adoption.
