I am a Christian therapist trained in many techniques, interventions, and approaches (i.e., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Humanistic); however, my focus is on working with my clients to meet their need for counseling. I believe counseling is the most effective way to gain insight into how our past is directing our present and future choices. We live in a world embraced intrapersonal and interpersonal relationships that have shaped and influenced our perception of ourselves and insightful counseling helps us ascertain what is important to us. I will work with clients, who prefer to incorporate their Christian beliefs into their counseling session.

Reaching out for help is often intimidating, especially if you are unsure where to begin. Everyone’s therapeutic process is going to look different, and I’m eager to work with you to discover what that will be. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is most important in this process, and I understand the need to find a good fit. Whether it’s depression, anxiety, addiction, significant life transitions, trauma, self-esteem challenges, etc., I will walk with you along your path to healing. Therapy can be a tool to increase self-compassion, understand our emotions, improve relationships, and offer healing.

I have 17+ years of experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including inpatient, residential, partial care, outpatient, and in-home. It is my belief that you have everything you need within you to live your best life and be your best self, however, unhealed wounds can slow that timeline of seeing that manifest. It is my goal to guide, educate, support, and empower my clients on their way to healing. I find great joy when my clients have that light bulb moment when they realize they in fact can be the captain of their healing/journey.

Hi, I'm Danielle! I know it feels hard right now. Everything is so overwhelming and it seems like you might feel this way forever. Don't worry, you won't! You are already on the right track to finding balance and happiness in your life again. I see adults who are seeking support as they navigate life's many hurdles. I work with overwhelmed teens as they launch into young adulthood. And I help couples who are struggling to find connection. I also have a special passion for helping survivors of narcissistic abuse find their voice and inner strength again. There are so many reasons to seek therapy and each one is valid. Help is here!

I provide therapy and neurofeedback for individuals and couples who have found themselves struggling with unexpected difficulties such as job loss, anxiety, and loving relationships that have grown painful. I seek to help clients to re-build the areas that have become broken and reclaim life out of the pain. In 2017, I began offering Neurofeedback across the lifespan.

I empathize with the idea that starting therapy can be daunting. I seek to provide a supportive environment for my clients to feel more open and safe in sharing their stories. I understand that the intricacies of life are deeply complex, and we often carry feelings or experiences that feel too much to hold on our own. Therapy gets to be a space to gently experience the depths of your emotions, all while in connection to someone else.

The decision to enter therapy can be a difficult one for many people. Taking the first steps towards, first, admitting there is a problem, and then reaching out for help takes bravery and courage. It's also a sign that you may be tired of living the way you have been living and you're ready to face the issues that are causing you and your family discomfort. I am here to help you every step of the way. As a seasoned psychotherapist with many years working in the field, I can help you by giving you a formal diagnosis at the time of our first session, educate you of your issue, and teach you better coping skills.

Female Therapists
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, this is not an important factor, as there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or ingrained beliefs about how people of different genders think and behave. Exploring the roots of such preferences and considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender truly matters to them.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist, either because they believe that a woman will be able to relate to their specific challenges (for example, sexism in the workplace) or because they imagine feeling more comfortable disclosing sensitive information to a woman. Such beliefs may not turn out to be accurate, however, and adhering too rigidly to a gender preference can at times hinder a client from finding the best therapeutic match.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists—both men and women—may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
