I am invested in helping individuals & couples navigate the challenges & milestones that surface in serious dating, pre-engagement, engagement, and married relationships. I am a certified facilitator for several evidence-based relationship-building inventory programs that help reduce vulnerability of a failed relationship. Research shows that most people wait until they are six years into a relationship before they reach for the help, direction, and support they need. I help intentional couples build resilient bonds by more deeply understanding one another through learning & practicing tools to enrich their relationship.

Perimeter DBT was founded by three intensively trained DBT therapists with over 35 years of combined DBT experience. We wanted to build a full adherent DBT program to serve the greater Atlanta community. At Perimeter DBT we provide Individual DBT Therapy, Individual Skills Coaching, and DBT Group Skills Classes for adults, teens, and parents.

I strive to provide a service that will allow my clients to process their issues in a safe space along with providing the opportunity to engage in a goal oriented process that is designed to meet individual needs. I also recognize people come equipped with the skills necessary to improve their lives and my role is to help them harness and direct those skills to improve wellness.

Sometimes we find ourselves in a dark place where we feel alone, helpless, and hopeless about ourselves and our future. In times like these it is easy to think that you are worthless and no one can understand what you are going through or fathom the heaviness inside of you. As a counselor, I take great pride in being able to sit down in your hole with you and slowly work our way back out together. I know that seeking help when we feel so vulnerable and hurt is not easy, sometimes you may even think that no one really cares so why bother reaching out anyway. I work with couples, families, individuals, children, teens, and groups who are struggling with communication, family relationships, couple's relationships, infidelity, grief and loss, divorce, family violence, sexual abuse, and sexual assault. Greetings, my name is Dr. Katherine Andrade and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have 26 years of experience working in the areas of Health, Mental Health, and Substance Use. I have worked as a school, mental health, medical, and military social worker. I have a Master's degree in Social Work as well as a Doctorate in Social Work. I specialize in working with adults/seniors with mental health and substance use challenges as well as family issues, stress, adjusting to medical challenges, and military/veteran issues.
