I am experienced in treating a wide variety of issues such as depression, PTSD, anxiety, stress, and marital/family conflict. I specialize in behavioral medicine, stress management, treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, chronic pain, and the emotional impact of physical illness. I am an expert in the field of trauma survival and work with many survivors of physical and sexual assault. As your therapist, I will help you cope with your challenges and you will learn how to manage your stress.

Hey Ya'll! I can't wait to meet you. I've been working as a therapist in the Metro Atlanta area since 2018. I've worked with many different populations and age groups with many different reasons to begin counseling. While it can be scary to begin the process, I promise to meet you where you are, and sit in the comfortable and uncomfortable situations. I'm currently accepting both individual and couples.

She also helps couples struggling with relationship issues. Therese recognizes that humans were made to be in relationship and many mental health and emotional issues stem from unhealthy relationships with self or others. Therese holds a BA degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee and a MS degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. She is currently working at Hidden River Counseling in Roswell.

I am a Christian therapist trained in many techniques, interventions, and approaches (i.e., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Humanistic); however, my focus is on working with my clients to meet their need for counseling. I believe counseling is the most effective way to gain insight into how our past is directing our present and future choices. We live in a world embraced intrapersonal and interpersonal relationships that have shaped and influenced our perception of ourselves and insightful counseling helps us ascertain what is important to us. I will work with clients, who prefer to incorporate their Christian beliefs into their counseling session.

Marissa is Restorative Counseling’s resident couples and family therapist and is passionate about helping her clients’ relationships become healthy and strong. She works with couples experiencing high levels of conflict, as well as couples who find it hard to speak openly with their partner and have fallen into a pattern of avoidance. Marissa also counsels families, including families with adult children, who seek to create a healthier dynamic.

Hello! I am Alex Hopkins of Early Connections Child & Family Counseling. I specialize in counseling boys ages 8-18, and young men ages 19-22. Many of the young people I work with are recovering from trauma, and need a safe place to heal. Others are struggling to fit in with their peers, and need to know they're not alone. Some of them are navigating the tricky waters of sexual development, or identify as LGBTQ+ and need a place where they are welcomed and affirmed. A lot of the young people I work with feel anxious and/or depressed and want to feel hopeful again. All of the people I work with want to feel safe, seen, and secure.

Discovering oneself in this fast-paced society that feeds on comparison and the next best thing can seem like a hopeless challenge. Everything is constantly changing around us just as we seem to get our footing. This can lead us to feeling defeated, unqualified, and exhausted. In these times it is important to rediscover yourself or maybe meet yourself for the first time. Having someone to walk with you and truly listen to your process, thoughts, values, and beliefs can be foundational in this discovery and healing process.
