EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) is a powerful therapeutic method that can eliminate or dramatically reduce symptoms related to trauma, negative life experiences, phobias, esteem, depression, anxiety issues and more.
Working with adults, I have always viewed my traditional therapeutic training as my foundational core. It has been an invaluable guide, providing a useful framework and powerful methods to facilitate the healing process of my clients. While I rely on my traditional foundation, I have taken to heart many a clients desire to lessen their pain and have change come about more quickly. With this in mind I have sought out legitimate methods that produce deep, long lasting change and provide relief at a faster pace then traditional therapies alone.

I provide talk therapy for adults on issues related to anxiety, depression, communication, codependency, pre-marital preparedness, and building healthy relationships.
Sometimes, in spite of our preparations, life surprises us with difficult situations. I provide therapy and neurofeedback for individuals and couples who have found themselves struggling with unexpected difficulties such as job loss, anxiety, and loving relationships that have grown painful. I seek to help clients to re-build the areas that have become broken and reclaim life out of the pain. Clients can expect an individualized approach that will pull from cognitive behavioral work, Gottman's relational theories, the Knowdell Career Transition Model, and more. In 2017, I began offering Neurofeedback across the lifespan.

Taking the first step can be hard. Anxiety, depression, addiction, and trauma are just a few of things that can hold us back from experiencing a fulfilled and purposeful life. Therapy is a tool that can help us move past those obstacles. As someone in recovery from addiction and trauma, it's possible and attainable for all. We just have to take that first step and trust the process.

My experience includes children and families suffering from PTSD, depression, anxiety, nightmares, anger outbursts, and other stress symptoms related to the experience.
When controversy stands in our way, one of four issues tends to arise. 1. We are not able to implement a coping mechanism, 2. The coping mechanism we implement is unhealthy, 3. The obstacle is being ignored, or 4. We do not recognize there is an obstacle in place. When one, or more, of these situations occur, we see a lowering in daily satisfaction and increased anxiety. To bring healing and balance within ourselves, we must acknowledge the past events that have created fear and shame in our hearts.
