Katie is a dedicated and compassionate counselor who has experience in helping a diverse client base work through a wide array of issues, including sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, violent crime, parenting difficulties, divorce, spiritual growth, depression, anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and OCD. She has training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which is an evidence-based treatment for minors who have experienced significant trauma. Katie treats clients aged 12 years and up.

Today's teens face different types of stressors than those to which we adults were exposed. Our culture, with its social media and overly committed lifestyle of busyness, sets our young people up for increased anxiety, depression, and a lack of genuine understanding of who they are. I am passionate about helping young people live life in wholeness. I see ages nine and up. My areas of specialty are ADHD, anxiety, depression, self-harming behaviors, stress management, school-related issues, and family transitions. I'm trained in EMDR, a therapy technique for those who've experienced trauma.

Dr. Nicckay is a Licensed Clinical Christian Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Christian Therapist and Licensed Clinical Christian Marriage and Family Therapist a Licensed and Ordained Minister, Certified Life Coach, Certified Mentor and Certified Marriage Mentor. She is also a Certified Symbis facilitator. She has been a therapist/therapist supervisor/behavior analyst for over 18 years combined in the secular arena before she decided to start a Christian Counseling Practice to help those that are in need.

Marriage /relationships can be tough and even good marriages can be stressful. With my husband Tom, I work collaboratively with couples experiencing distress & disconnection in their relationships. We work as a husband-wife team and focus on helping couples rebuild & strengthen their emotional bond. Julie received her bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. She earned her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University. Julie currently works with young adults, adults, and couples. Her collaborative style focuses on the goals of the client, cultivating a space for growth, and understanding of the client’s lived experience. Julie’s therapeutic approach is grounded in emotionally focused and collaborative theory which allows her to tailor treatment to individual needs within a wide scope of client demographics including LGBTQIA+, gender diverse individuals, and CNM partners.

Through my own experience as a client, I have come to believe in the healing qualities of the therapeutic relationship.
