I have been licensed in Nevada as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2006. I became licensed in the state of Georgia in 2018 and have a telehealth license for South Carolina. I moved to Augusta with my family several years ago. I use an integrative modality approach. I primarily focus on the family as a system for effective and long-term change. My name is Savanah and you read that correctly, my name is spelled with only one N and my parents told me it was because we couldn’t afford both. I grew up in a family that had a lot of the right ingredients (like warmth and humor) but didn’t have some of the tools that would have made home life a whole lot easier for us all. So, I became a Marriage and Family Therapist because families are where we can experience a lot of pain and frustration, but also tremendous healing. On an individual level, I know the relief of breaking free from from behaviors and thoughts that keep us in the exhausting cycle of pain and confusion.
