Door of Hope Counseling Center is a private non-profit that offers hope and healing to those who are hurting as a result of trauma and grief, depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, relational issues, parenting issues, or more severe mental health issues. A sliding fee scale is available for those without insurance. Individual, family, group and couples counseling is offered. Play therapy is available for children. Door of Hope serves clients between the ages of 5 to senior adults. I have 29 years experience in community mental health and residential mental health. As a registered Supervisor, I provide supervision for licensure.

With a collective of OVER 75 YEARS of experience, each therapist brings a unique and meaningful set of experiences that allows us to share and support one another in our gifts as clinicians. Unlike many therapy practices, we collectively spend time in mutual supervision each week supporting and learning how to best serve our clients. Calling us means you will be offered the best possible outcome. We understand how difficult it is to take the first step and do not take it lightly. We hope one of us will be a good therapeutic fit for you. And when we cannot meet your needs, we will do our best to make a referral.

Welcome! My name is Denise Hill and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years of experience and have been a nationally certified Master Addiction Counselor since 2016. My clients may struggle with anxiety, depression, managing stress, or working through stage-of-life difficulties. They may have identified that alcohol or drugs are having more influence in their life than they’d prefer or are resulting in negative consequences. My passion is providing therapy services to clients to help them reach their goals and improve their lives.

Maegan Stuart is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist who has been practicing since 2014. She has an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University and a BS in Psychology from Georgia College & State University. Maegan’s therapeutic approach is tailored to each adult, adolescent, child, couple and family. It is unique in that it accommodates each person’s individual needs. She integrates various counseling theories and clinical, evidence-based treatment modalities that result in effectively treating many problems and symptoms presented by clients.

While it is incredible on the one hand that us humans have the capacity to endure the many complexities of life, we can experience seasons in this brutiful life that feel more brutal than not.
