She earned her Doctorate from Loyola University Chicago, where she also taught graduate classes. Dr. Hempel has worked with children, adolescents, and adults since 2001. She also has experience working with a variety of emotional and behavioral disorders. Her therapeutic approaches include: biofeedback, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness based therapy. Dr. Hempel believes in a holistic approach with a large emphasis placed on the mind-body connection. As a result, patients report feeling more in control of their lives.

She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing in an integrative approach, depending on the needs and personality of the client. Bailey enjoys working with adolescents ages 12-18, adults, and older adults. Bailey received her Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of William & Mary.
