Hello! I'm Torionna Green and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of Empowered Minds Counseling and Consulting. I also mentor youth and young adults within my local community. I work with a variety of clients of varying age ranges that may be struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, anger, parenting issues, stress, life changes and more. I enjoy working with the adolescent and young adult population.

At my core I am a person-centered therapist who sees the relationship between the client and myself as one of the most important aspects of the therapeutic process. I am not only a person-centered therapist, but I am trained in evidenced-based interventions that I employ based on your particular needs. The main modality used in therapy is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which addresses trauma as well as stressful life events such as divorce, job loss and early childhood issues. I am the CEO/Owner of The Veal Group, LLC and a professor which gives me a very unique counseling perspective.

I embrace the belief that every client contains, deeply within their own subconscious mind, the key to their own healing and well-being. The answers are never out there, but instead are inside you waiting to be discovered. I am deeply committed to the path of the heart and I feel privileged to be a part of each individual’s process of healing, which I consider to be a sacred task. I believe we all have the power to heal, no matter how deep our wounds may be!

Tamara is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who entered the field because she enjoys helping individuals make positive growth and change during the therapeutic process. She wants everyone to know that they aren't alone in how they feel. Tamara is a native New Yorker and fluent in Spanish. Tamara earned her BS in Human Services at Shorter University, Rome, GA, and her MA in Counseling at Argosy University, Atlanta, GA. During her career, Tamara has worked with different demographics including children and youth who are dealing with emotions and behavior concerns, as well as adults and Seniors.

I believe first and foremost that we all have the innate ability to heal. I work with adults and couples struggling with a spectrum of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions.

I have a broad range of experience treating conditions, solving problems, and coping with circumstances that influence the emotional and cognitive functioning of adults of all ages and gender. I am a primarily a person-centered therapist with advanced training and expertise in treating conditions such as trauma, anxiety, and depression with evidence-based interventions such as cognitive processing therapy (CPT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and eye-movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR).

I love working with children and teens to help them navigate a world that they often do not have control over. In focusing on things in our control, we work to build coping and communication skills that help with relationships at home and school.
