As a pediatric neuropsychologist, I am trained to evaluate your child's cognitive, adaptive, and behavioral functioning. I have a broad range of experience and have worked with children and adolescents with a variety of medical, developmental, and behavioral/emotional diagnoses. My goal as a clinical psychologist is to promote and encourage emotional wellness. This starts with providing a safe place to explore issues and challenges that may be affecting your daily life. The majority of my career has been spent providing assessment and therapeutic intervention to law enforcement personnel, military veterans, and their family members in a variety of settings. I use the most relevant therapeutic approaches based on an individuals needs.

After years of Pastoral Counseling, I decided to get my professional license. I have a heart to help people who have experienced trauma to be healed from the inside out. As a minister and a pastor's daughter, I also have a desire to provide a safe, confidential place for ministers and their families to go for counseling. I also trained in play therapy. While I mostly counsel from a Cognitive Behavioral approach, I also use interventions from other therapies depending on individual client needs.

One couple I worked with described their relationship as like having a brick wall between them- no windows or doors back to each other, only rigid rejection & hurt. Most of my clients are facing relational challenges due to areas that are out of balance in their lives. At the present time, I have about 150 clients. I spend much time working with people with high levels of stress, anxiety and depression. My greatest strengths are in Marriage & Family and Youth Counseling due to the fact that I look for root problems in the lives of people and find ways to retrain them so that they can be much more functional. I am also very effective with self-esteem issues. With additional counselors we can address substance abuse, weight management, child custody issues, divorce mediation, etc.
