Shannon has worked in a Home for troubled youth, a Church youth counselor for over five years, as well with the elementary, teen, adult, elderly, disabled, and substance abuse populations. After years of Pastoral Counseling, I decided to get my professional license. I have a heart to help people who have experienced trauma to be healed from the inside out. As a minister and a pastor's daughter, I also have a desire to provide a safe, confidential place for ministers and their families to go for counseling. I also trained in play therapy. While I mostly counsel from a Cognitive Behavioral approach, I also use interventions from other therapies depending on individual client needs.

I enjoy working collaberatively with clients. I like to start with determining my client's goal(s) and defining a plan to get them to their goal. I like for treatment to create lasting positive effects quickly. I love to see clients feel better and live more satisfying lives. I work with children, adults, and families. I work with trauma, grief, family dynamics, relationship issues, and much more. I use a variety of modalities to suit each client's specifics needs. My underlying philosophy is to look for the root of the issue and work toward total healing. I work from the perspective of a Christian worldview. Everyone is welcome.
