As a licensed clinical psychologist of over 17 years, I have worked with thousands of high performers, especially black women and BIPOC, by helping them uncover hidden issues that get in the way of true work-life balance and the ability to enjoy the life they worked hard to build. I’ve found that high performers, particularly black women, have difficulty with selfcare and are exhausted emotionally, physically, and mentally. Work-life balance is both a mystery and a necessity, so much so that some say that it doesn’t exist. I beg to differ. I'm not an average therapist and my clients aren't average in their respective careers either.

Dealing with anxiety and depression can be tough. Sometimes we may not be aware of what is going on. We may feel tired, exhausted, lonely, and unsure why.

We all have a tendency to put others first, but in doing so, we can sometimes neglect our relationship with ourselves. As women of color, we tend to take on the society-given role of “Superwoman”— meaning we are Mom, Provider, Caretaker, Protector, Nurturer, etc., to several individuals in our lives. I have a question for you that we tend to skip… Who's taking care of you? Let me be your advocate and show you a kinder, gentler way to treat the most important person in your life. I am trained in providing services through a multicultural lens. I am skilled in working with women of different ethnic, cultural, religious backgrounds.
