I ask them to share why they came for counseling and listen intently in the attempt to understand their problems and why they are seeking help. I ascertain if they are court ordered or if they came on their own. I conduct a short assessment to identify their problem (s) and focus on their issues. I assess the need for medication and recommend them when needed. I address relationship issues, mental health issues and/or addiction. I take insurance and credit cards. My PhD is in Counseling Psychology.
