As a Nationally Certified Counselor, I rely on evidence-based practices like Brainspotting and Mindful Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (M-CBT), to help children, adults, and families heal from the past, find stability in the present and hope for the future. My training and experience includes working with the effects of trauma (PTSD) and stressful experiences (e.g. emotional and sexual abuse, affairs, divorce, family conflict, grief, work stress, medical etc). My ideal client will take advantage of my professional experiences that reach across educational, psychological, behavioral, judicial and social spectrums. This client will see the benefits of my services such as counseling, psychotherapy and/or coaching or consulting, supervising, crisis management, pre-trial diversions, trainings and workshops. Issues addressed: goal setting, stress/anger management, grief, relationships, identity, family of origin, parenting skills, family violence, depression, anxiety, faith based and addictions such as substance, and shoplifting for a few.

My ideal client would be an adolescent who has endured some type of trauma or abuse. Their needs would include building resiliency and expanding their coping skills "toolbox." Their goal would ultimately be to find hope and healing, despite their adversities. They would want to be an active participant in their treatment, so that therapy could be as beneficial as possible. Having said that, any client who feels that they could benefit from my counseling services is more than welcome into my office!
