My approach to therapy is more Humanistic, which means that you are seen as an unique individual navigating through life instead of as a diagnosis. I believe that a positive therapeutic relationship is the foundation to creating a safe, trusting, and non judgmental place to have open communication so that we can explore the past, present, and future together.

I believe in helping people discover their ability to be resilient and how to live in the present moment. Life can sometimes feel overwhelming with too many expectations from school, work, friends, etc. Anxiety is normal, until it becomes unmanageable and begins to restrict your ability to function in your daily life. I can help you push back on your anxiety and learn to feel better equipped to set boundaries with anxiety.

I'm passionate about working collaboratively with all of my clients, especially: clients of all ages with autoimmune, other chronic or potential life-limiting illness; teens/college students and parents with concerns related to academic and/or behavioral issues and in strengthening relationships; clients with mood, anxiety and addiction issues; clients with grief and loss issues and clients contemplating separation and/or divorce. I can objectively mediate a separation or divorce to each parties satisfaction.

I am passionate about working with people with substance abuse concerns, trauma, family conflict, and difficulty coping. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I strive to make any difficult life experience more manageable while gently guiding my clients and their families towards the life they want and see for themselves. I work with adolescents, young adults, and adults utilizing a client-centered, supportive approach. I work to make my office a safe, judgement-free space where my clients can discuss their struggles and get the support they need.

Our experience enables us to offer effective client, individualized, psychotherapy care. We treat a number of mental health disorders, and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples in-person or via secured telehealth technologies.

That is why I provide an ease about coming to therapy and attempt to make my clients feel comfortable beginning this process. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults helping them get through difficult transitions in their lives. I do a lot of work challenging people to explore their aggression, self-harming behaviors, drugs and alcohol use, suicidal ideations, depression and anxiety. I also enjoy working with adults dealing with life transitions and helping them improve their moods and perspectives on life.

Sometimes anxiety, depression or low self-esteem issues can come on slowly or, at times, quickly overwhelm us. No matter how these issues happen it helps to have someone to listen to and support you through those times. My goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for my clients where they can slow down and start to take apart those issues piece by piece so they can be better understood and dealt with. I use many different counseling styles but, ultimately, I want my clients to feel like they are just having a conversation about the struggles in their lives.
