My clients are struggling with personal trauma, sometimes stemming from their childhood, other times from traumatic events at other times in their life. This may include racism. They may be struggleing in their current relationships with spouses, parents or their children. Some are self-medicating with drugs or alcohol, others are challenged by crippling anxiety, panic or depression. Still other clients have mood swings, boutes of anger and diffculty regulating their emotions behavior or thinking. They may have impulses to self harm in a variety of different ways, from cutting, binging or purginng, or other behaviors.

Cocise believes in an integrative theoretical approach based on the client's needs, combining aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based therapy, and solution focused interventions.
